What to Pack in Your Golf Cart
Your golfing experience can be even more enjoyable when you stock up your cart with the right accessories and items. You won’t want to overpack, but there are several essentials that can elevate your time on the course! Our team at Golf Cars of Louisiana has put together a brief list of our favorite things to pack in your cart.
1. Clothing
One of the best ways to be prepared on the golf course is by packing extra clothing. The weather can unexpectedly change at any minute and you’ll want to be prepared! You may not always want to wait out the weather, but having a hooded windbreaker can be helpful. Not only could it protect from rain, but on windy days it can offer useful protection.
Other clothing items you may want to pack with you include gloves, socks, and shoes. Gloves are useful for your grip and carrying an extra pair will prevent you from going without any! And you never know when you might step in a puddle or want to switch out of your golfing shoes into something more comfortable.
2. Food and Drinks
Many golf cart models can be adapted to add a cooler or already have a built-in cooler. This feature is ideal for the days you want to spend hours on the course. You can keep your drinks cold and pack food items as well.
Even if you choose to take beverages like soda or alcohol, you’ll want to bring plenty of water to stay hydrated! You’ll also want a good variety of snacks to enjoy, too.
3. First Aid
Although golfing itself may not cause injury, you should have a first aid kit in your cart. You can purchase pre-made kits at the store, or you can curate one specifically for yourself and your favorite golfers. You might include things like band-aids, ointment, gauze pads, ibuprofen, allergy medications, tweezers, sunscreen, insect repellent, and lip balm. If you or someone you golf with has a bee allergy or anything similar, it may be necessary to include epinephrine.
4. Golf Cart Maintenance and Miscellaneous Needs
Hopefully, you won’t need to worry about maintenance issues while you’re golfing, but it could come in handy to have a small kit of tools and maintenance items with you. For example, you may keep a small bag containing a tire pressure gauge, compressed air, and portable jumper cables in your golf cart storage.
You can also create a small bag for miscellaneous needs like phone chargers, business cards, extra golf balls, and an additional pair of sunglasses for easy access!
